Social Media and Education

First off, the fact that I cannot seem to get connected to the social media right now and my email is causing me extra work. I have very strong feelings against the use of social media in education. However, feelings aside, I don't see why education should be left behind in this technological age. So many people are already connected in the social networking that it is almost natural to connect education into it. Computers are available on campus, and so long as andrews can keep the system up, every student has access. I myself am not what would be labeled as tech savvy, but I do have a facebook page and I seem to be able to use it successfully. I am still struggling to use the blogger and the delicious, but they will come eventually. It also has an environmental touch that I am specifically fond of, it helps save trees. That argument right there is probably enough to get my vote.
